And finally, you might not know that Samsung is releasing an unlocked version of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in the United States. Being an unlocked phone means it will work on any and all carriers, rather being locked down to a single provider.

In closing, just know that Samsung might not offer Android software updates to the unlocked model as fast as carrier units get them. Most unlocked phones are the first to get updates, but not with Samsung. The unlocked Galaxy S7 was almost completely ignored over the past 12 months, so keep that in mind.
