Among all the other things your Amazon Echo can do, it’s a great way to quickly place an order from Amazon.com. Just tell Alexa what you’d like to buy and she will describe the item to you and confirm your purchase. This feature is really useful for purchasing songs and albums that aren’t part of your music collection.

If the idea of purchasing things without seeing them first makes you uncomfortable, turn off voice purchases from inside the Alexa app. Just open Voice Purchasing in the Settings menu. You can also force your Echo to ask for a voice code every time you buy something with it.
