The Facebook Viewpoints app lets you answer questions and share more information with Facebook to get points. One of the first options is a 15-minute wellbeing survey that offers 1,000 points. You can redeem those points for $5 paid through Paypal. That's the exchange rate for points to cash. 

Facebook says that this data is kept internal and not sold, but with the distrust of Facebook, many users may not want to use this app to make money.  

You need to be accepted into the program and then you will need to be invited into the different studies. This is likely decided by demographics, so fill in that information when you sign up. 

Points are good for five years and payments can take up to 10 days to process.
