Before we close, we wanted to share the latest keyboard for Android in 2018. This is Gboard Go, from Google, and it's basically the popular Gboard keyboard for budget devices. 

If you have a cheaper phone from a regional carrier, an older device, or something on the Android One program, this keyboard is for you. GBoard Go is basically a keyboard built for speed and performance, even if the device doesn't have a lot of RAM or the latest specs. Google's slowly released "Go" versions of apps for all of its popular services. 

This allows older phones or budget devices in emerging markets to get the same great features, but without slowing down the device. You'll need Android 8.1 Oreo, and expect to see Gboard Go on the Play Store soon. Or, get it right here.
