Best Galaxy Note 9 Cases in 2020
LifeProof NeXT for Galaxy Note 9
If you're coming from an iPhone you've probably owned or seen a LifeProof case. They're one of the first brands to offer an extremely tough and rugged case that was waterproof for the iPhone.
Now, they've created the first-ever Lifeproof Galaxy case. This 2-piece case has six layers of protection that snap together to form a super-strong case that's slim and pocket-friendly. The inner lining seals everything off from dust, dirt, and to a degree even water, even though the Note 9 is IP68 dust and water-resistant already. Basically, you're getting a second layer of protection from the elements, not to mention water CAN still damage your phone, it just "shouldn't".
With this case, you can truly rest easy knowing the Note 9 is safe from almost any situation. They even have a transparent mesh that protects the speaker's grill from debris. They thought of everything.

There are 17 cases of the very same type (“backcover”), 1 hard case and 2 flipp cases. But where are slide-in pocket cases? What if one wants to choose a belt case? I don’t consider this a good selection, it wouldn’t satisfy me if I wanted a flip case (like I have now), nor it helps me to select a pocket case I want to try for my new phone… Besides, I think that specifically users of Note won’t typically use “backcover” (it has a nickname I won’t write here), which makes such top phone look “cheaper”, neither it is any good in protecting that large front screen. I’d say a typical choice would be a lather flip case, a hi-tech looking semi-transparent colour-tinned hard flip case, a leather pocket or a leather belt case.

A few in this list come with a kickstand AND a belt holster. And what do you mean by “pocket cases” Like a full sleeve that the entire phone goes into? Those aren’t very popular for the vast majority of the public, but we’ll update this post and add one. Thanks for your suggestion.
