While themes are nothing new to most Samsung users, as the theme store has hundreds of options, this year Samsung took it a step further. The Galaxy Android 9 Pie update introduced an easy to use "Dark Mode" or Dark Theme that works throughout the entire software experience. This doesn't just make a few things dark, but the entire phone and most apps are black. 

It's a system-wide dark mode (night theme) that you'll absolutely love. It's something a few other phones have, and now all Galaxy owners can enjoy it. This is easier on the eyes and will make your battery last longer. 

One UI is a major improvement to Android as a whole, which arrived in early 2019 for the Galaxy S8, S9, Note 8, Note 9 and more. Samsung made these phones easier to use with one-hand, the dark mode, and tons of other useful features we'll explain in a moment. Either way, try the new Dark Mode.
