If you don’t like to spend your money without knowing exactly what you’re getting, wait to buy the Destiny 2 Expansion Pass. We won’t know what the entire Destiny 2 Expansion Pass unlocks until the Spring of 2018. That’s when Bungie says Destiny 2 Expansion 2 will arrive on PC, Xbox One and PS4.

If you buy now, you’re trusting Bungie to deliver a solid experience. Chances are they will deliver exactly that, but we don’t know that for sure. It’s possible the second major upgrade could have a different mix of content than the first expansion. So, for example, you could buy the expansion today hoping to get more story content from Expansion 2 and end up with more maps for The Crucible instead. It's also possible the expansion could have bugs and issues that render it unplayable at launch.
