Fortnite Vending Machine Locations & How They Work

Published

on

While playing Fortnite Battle Royale, you’ll soon run into Fortnite vending machines which allow you to sell the supplies you pick up for weapons. This is an awesome way to get rare and epic weapons without finding them around the map.

This is where you can find Fortnite vending machines and how to use them to buy amazing loot in Fortnite Battle Royale without getting lucky on a treasure chest. Vending machines are still random, but they offer an easier way of getting incredible gear. Thankfully you don’t need to use V-Bucks to get this gear.

Fortnite Vending Machine Locations

There are almost 30 possible Fortnite vending machine locations across the map. They are scattered throughout the world near points of interest or specific buildings. The locations are often near a lot of resources so you can go collect the wood or metal you need to collect. These will draw more players to a specific point of interest, so you should make sure you are on the lookout for enemies collecting resources nearby.

The Fortnite vending machines don’t spawn at every place every game, and the loot and rarity is all random so you will not always find what you want at each spot on the map, but this will give you a very good head start on where to jump in to get your vending machine loot.

One of the weekly challenges is to use a vending machine, so you should take a game or two focused on knocking out this easy challenge before the week is up. The map above from FortniteIntel will help you get started.

The Fortnite vending machines are scattered across the map, with a variety of weapons. You need to spend 100 to 500 resources to get the items in a vending machine, so you will want to be collecting resources even more than normal. Vending machines come in;

  • Common (White) – 100 materials
  • Uncommon (Green) – 200 materials
  • Rare (Blue) – 300 materials
  • Epic (Purple) – 400 materials
  • Legendary (Orange) – 500 materials

Each Fortnite Battle Royale vending machine offers three items of the same rarity and level. You can tell based on the green, blue or yellow color what the vending machine will offer. In most cases the vending machine will include three different weapon types, but you may see two of the same weapon in some due to the randomness of the vending machine.

You simply approach the vending machine with the resources you need and hit it with the pickaxe to switch between the options and then press the action button for your console or phone to purchase the item. It will pop out in front of the machine and then you can pick it up and start using it.
