The Galaxy Note 8 Oreo Release Date is Close

Perhaps the most exciting thing about the Galaxy Note 8 Oreo update is the fact that the start of the roll out is extremely close. In fact, it could start up in March.

Samsung still hasn't confirmed a precise roll out date for the Galaxy Note 8's version of Android Oreo, but we know the update is making progress behind the scenes.

The Galaxy Note 8 Android 8.0 Oreo update recently appeared in a Wi-Fi certification, a necessary step ahead of the release and a sign that the update is pushing closer to an official release in the United States and countries around the world.

Samsung Turkey claims the update will start rolling out sometime in March though it hasn't provided a specific date.

Samsung Canada's taken things a step further. According to a note in the Samsung Members app, the Galaxy Note 8 Oreo update will hit Canada on March 28th. Canadian carrier Fido's Android update schedule backs up this claim.

Now that Samsung's Galaxy S8 Oreo update is pushing out in full force and Samsung's regional arms are talking about a release in March, we expect the Galaxy Note 8 Oreo update to make its way to the surface soon.

Keep an eye out for it this month.

After reading the article, I can’t see a single reason to update to Oreo. My phone works too good to screw it up over a bunch of cosmetics and gimmicks. I don’t think a typical Note 8 user cares what Emojis are included, or what colors you can make the screen. We buy Note phones because they have real functionality you cannot get with any other phone.
