Release Date & Price

Now that you want the Galaxy Note 8 your next question is likely when can you get it and how much will it cost. Well, it's expensive.

The Galaxy Note 8 release date is September 15th in the United States and it's available for pre-order as we speak. The phone is available from all major carriers, and there are some good deals available too.

Now for the bad news, the Galaxy Note 8 costs between $930-$960 depending on the carrier. Verizon is asking the most, while T-Mobile is the cheapest. You can get it on a monthly payment plan though, which eases some of the pain. Most carriers like Verizon and AT&T will accept the Note 5 as a trade-in and give you a discount. And if you bought the Note 7 and returned it, you'll get up to $475 off the Note 8 with a qualifying trade-in. Keep that in mind.

Unless you really want two cameras and the S-Pen stylus, the Galaxy S8+ might be exactly what you're looking for too though. Get the Galaxy Note 8, then buy a nice case to keep it safe

Samsung can’t justify to me why I should pay $930 for a nice looking cell phone that does the same as a “basic” phone that may be a little slower, may not have the sharpest screen, and doesn’t have a “premium” camera (I rarely take pics anyway)

With Samsung removing the home button I must keep the note 5. Its like microsoft removing the start button in Windows 8. We all know how that worked out. I cant see “how I will get used to it”. btw, I own both, the note 5 which was out of contract and I was supposed to send it back to verizon and get $480 refund over time but Im thinking I’ll keep it (note 5), too bad its past the 14 days because then I could send back the note 8.
