Galaxy Note 8 vs Galaxy S8: Specs

So the Galaxy Note 8 is just a bigger Galaxy S8? Well, not exactly. There are some big differences you'll want to know about. From having 6GB of RAM for better performance, an S-Pen stylus, and dual cameras on the back. Just to name a few. Here's a full breakdown for those interested, based on rumors.

Galaxy Note 8 Specs (Rumored)

  • 6.3-inch 2960 x 1440 Quad-HD AMOLED Infinity Display (Or its first 4K display)
  • Snapdragon 835/836 or Samsung Exynos 8895 Processor
  • 64/128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM (microSD slot for storage expansion)
  • Android 7.1.2 Nougat (Soon after an update to Android 8.0 “O”)
  • Dual 12 Megapixel Rear f/1.7 aperture cameras, 3X optical zoom (better than iPhone 7 Plus 2x zoom)
  • 8 Megapixel front-facing camera
  • Dual Stereo speakers tuned by AKG
  • 3,500 mAh battery with Fast and Wireless Charging (Rumored at 3,300 mAh)
  • Improved S-Pen stylus with vibration motor and new features
  • IP68 Dust and Water Resistance up to 5ft
  • Bixby AI Assistant and dedicated button for AI
  • USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, heart rate sensor, Iris Eye Scanner, fingerprint scanner, more
  • Possibly AR features or an AR camera

That all sounds pretty good and will make this one of the best smartphones of 2017. If the rumored 3rd 21 Megapixel camera is real, things will really get interesting.

Galaxy S8 Specifications

  • 5.8-inch 2960 x 1440 Quad-HD AMOLED Curved Display

  • Android 7.0 Nougat with Samsung TouchWiz
  • 12 Dualpixel Rear Camera - OIS, phase detection auto-focus, f/1.7 aperture
  • 8 megapixel front camera with auto focus, f/1.7 aperture
  • Fingerprint & Iris Scanner, facial scanner for unlocking

We'll know more in the coming months as more information surfaces about the Galaxy Note 8. For now though, just know it will have plenty to offer and nudge out the Galaxy S8 just a little bit across the board.

One thing to consider is the 6.2-inch Galaxy S8+, which is extremely similar to the Note 8 but without dual cameras and the stylus.
