Galaxy S6 Nougat Update: 5 Reasons to Get Excited & 2 Not To

Don't Expect a Galaxy S6 Nougat Beta

One thing we're not overly excited about is the prospect of the Galaxy S6 Nougat update getting released without a beta. Particularly with Samsung confirming a delay due to issues with performance. 

The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge Android 7.0 Nougat update beta allowed users to try out the new software ahead of release. That was exciting to see. It was also exciting to see beta testers help Samsung squash issues ahead of the official release. 

Samsung's Galaxy S7 Nougat update isn't perfect but it could be worse. Samsung pulling an update due to performance issues used to be a regular occurrence. 

A Samsung Galaxy S6 Nougat beta would be exciting for the same reasons. 

Thus far, Samsung has yet to confirm plans for a beta and with a release date possibly just a few days away, we're not expecting one. 

Given that this could very well be one of the last official updates the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will get, we would've loved to have seen Samsung give the same beta treatment to the Galaxy S6's Nougat update. 

Disappointing but we'll live.
