The Google Pixel and Pixel XL had a great camera experience. In fact, it received one of the highest scores from independent reviews around the web and photography experts. I'm still amazed by how great photos are at times. Not to mention the video stabilization is incredible.
However, there was no optical image stabilization for photos, which helps in tons of situations. From low-light to fast moving objects like kids and pets. The LG G6 has dual cameras, as does the iPhone 7 Plus and rumors suggest the same for the upcoming Galaxy Note 8. It's highly possible that Google will follow the market and release a Pixel 2 with dual cameras on the back. If so, we're expecting to see a 12.3 megapixel sensor again, and hopefully with optical image stabilization. Google managed to create a wonderful camera setup on the Pixel, and we want and expect an even better one in 2017.

Pixel 2 will have a much improved camera, though it apparently won’t be all about megapixels and more about extra features instead. The Pixel is coming from a strong place for photography, unlike the previous Nexus handsets, so we hope that continues.
