Google Pixel Android 10 Update: 3 Things to Expect & 4 Not To

Older Pixel? Don't Expect Every Feature

With Android Pie, a lot of new features weren't available for the original Pixel, or didn't come to the older devices for several months, if not longer. We could see that again here. And we'll see even more evidence of this when the Pixel 4 comes out with sweet new features that the original Pixel won't get. 

So while it'll be exciting to see everything that's fresh, new, or fun, don't be surprised if some of the best new Android 10 features aren't instantly available on the Pixel, Pixel XL and even the Pixel 2. Google will showcase the best new stuff on its latest phone first. That said, we believe only the original Pixel is old enough to miss out on features in 2019. Some of those include the new contextual things, live captions, and more. In fact, even the Pixel 3 doesn't have live captions yet, and we have a feeling it'll never make it to the original Pixel. 

Even if it is capable of everything Google adds to Android 10, they'll probably slowly roll those changes out over time. Similar to how we saw all those Pixel 3 features slowly arrive for the Pixel 2 in 2018.
