Consumers have been begging Apple to drop the 16GB iPhone model for years. They might finally get their wish this year. 

iPhone 7 rumors suggest Apple will axe the 16GB model in favor of an iPhone 7 lineup that features the 32GB model as the base model. 

Apple currently offers 16GB, 32GB and 128GB iPhone 6s options so it's not clear what the final iPhone 7 lineup would look like. 

Rumors also point to the possiblity of a 256GB iPhone 7 which would double the maximum storage of the 128GB iPhone 6s. 

If you constantly find yourself running out of space on your iPhone, it would be wise to wait a few more weeks to see what Apple does with its storage sizes. 

You could be looking at a cheap 32GB option and if we're lucky, an iPhone 7/iPhone 7 Plus with a mind-boggling amount of space.
