iPhone 7 vs Galaxy S7: Display

Speaking of the display, this one will be a toss-up, as they are both excellent. In terms of physical size the Galaxy S7 comes in at 5.1-inches with a high 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD resolution with a beautiful S-AMOLED display featuring rich and vivid colors. It's one of the best on the market, only beat by the Galaxy Note 7.

The iPhone 7 is once again a 4.7-inch screen coming in with a 1334 x 750p resolution, so not even 1080p yet, but you'll never notice. Text is crisp, colors are beautiful, and Apple states these new screens have a wide color gamut unlike any iPhone to date. We still have 3D Touch, but in terms of overall specs this likely goes to Samsung.

Apple touted the screen up on stage a lot, talking about the wide color gamut being able to offer stunning colors and visuals for photos, video, games and more. Sporting an AMOLED in the Galaxy S7 though, we're pretty sure the same wide array of vivid colors will be present on Samsung's offering.

Most likely this will be a choice of size. If a 5.1-inch phone is too big for you, the iPhone 7 coming in at 4.7-inches may be the better choice. That said, you can always get the dual camera iPhone 7 Plus with a 5.5-inch display. But then again, there's always the Galaxy S7 Edge with a similar 5.5-inch screen.

We'll need to try out the iPhone 7 ourselves to share more details, but expect these two phones to be at the top of the chart in terms of the display.
