EA adds a new Madden 16 mode this year with Draft Champions. Draft Champions in Madden 16 is basically Fantasy Football mixed with Madden Ultimate Team, but without the commitment of building a team to take through an entire season.

You'll start out with a coach and a base team, but you need to draft the playmakers who will allow you to win the short season in Draft Champions.

EA demonstrated with three draft rounds where the player can choose from three different players each round. Like a Fantasy Football draft you need to pick the best player in that round, and leave open the hope for a great pick later if you need to snag a great receiver in round one. You can choose current players and legends that will help you shape your team.

After the draft choose to play solo with three games or go online to play and in four games to become a draft champion. EA wants to deliver a "Madden Fantasy in a Night" experience so even if you lose you can keep playing with a new draft the next night.
