If you aren't in love with the current batch of deals, Nexus 5X or otherwise, it might be a good idea to wait until November. If you can wait that long. If you can wait until November you could see some amazing Nexus 5X deals emerge around Black Friday and Cyber Monday. We'll also probably see some impressive Pixel deals, Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Note deals, and a bunch of iPhone deals. If you're really short on cash, but still want a solid phone, you might want to upgrade later in the year after Google, Apple, and Samsung launch their devices. | |||||||

Bootloop issue alone should be enough reason to avoid the 5X at this point. Otherwise it is indeed a pretty great phone… but if you need to rely on it, I’d avoid it. If you’re gonna buy a used 5X, make sure you get all the info so you can send it back to LG when it stops working. I’m on my 3rd replacement myself.
