Google's Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL got released on October 24th and are readily available. The Samsung Galaxy S10 family arrived in March and April earlier this year. You can find them on sale often. 

They'll all be expensive, but one will cost a decent amount more than the other.

Basically, the 128GB Pixel 4 XL is the same price as the 128GB Galaxy S10+.  That's all you really need to know. While Google's Pixel 4 XL is maybe a slightly better phone in terms of the camera and stock Android 10, the S10 has a better screen, more cameras, and substantially better battery life. Substantially. Both phones have pros and cons and they're both very expensive. However, you can save a few hundred by getting the smaller Pixel 4 or even the Galaxy S10e, which is very comparable to the P4, just make sure you know how much storage you need. 

Honestly, now that we see how bad battery life is on the Pixel 4 the Galaxy S10e is probably the better buy if you want a smaller screen. If you're looking to go bigger, this is a tough choice between the Galaxy S10+ and the Pixel 4 XL.
