When it comes to choosing between these phones the biggest choice is the screen. Honestly, that's about the only big difference, which is something we appreciate from Google. They don't put fewer cameras or lower specs in the smaller model. Pixel 4 and 4 XL Specs (Confirmed)
There you have it. Both phones will have fancy sensors above the screen for facial recognition and unlocking tech. They'll both pack the same internals, similar everything. We do have two complaints though. For one, 64GB simply isn't enough anymore and is what phones had in 2017. This is unacceptable for Google and unacceptable for Apple. Both companies just want to force people into paying more for higher storage, and it's a load of BS. For comparison, devices like the Galaxy S10, Note 10, or OnePlus 7 Pro come with 128 or even 256B as a minimum. Not a weak puny little 64GB. Furthermore, a tiny 2,800 mAh battery is simply way too small for any phone in 2019, especially one with a 5.7-inch 90 Hz display like the Pixel 4. This was a terrible choice by Google, even with all the Android 10 battery-saving measures, and we're afraid the smaller Pixel won't have good battery life. That's seriously the smallest battery of ANY high-end phone released in 2019. Well done Google, well done. Basically, you'll have to choose between which screen size is right for you. For what it's worth, last year the Pixel 3 was only 5.5-inches, so it'll be a little bigger this year. That said, we're worried that 2,800 mAh isn't enough battery, which is why you'll want to go with the XL. | |||||

At 8 GB for the XL, of pre-order! At 6gb, wait for the sale – no use spending for meh specs.

2GB of RAM more will make zero difference. My Note 9 still hasn’t used more than 4GB and it has a lot more than that.

Yeah I don’t know what you ram fanbois are doing with your phones but as a power user.. I’ve never once maxed my Pixel 3 to the point where it was lagging and I wished for more ram.. sounds to me like you’re falling into the marketing trap, and OEMs are not going to complain about that

I’m still packing the OG Pixel XL. Waiting for the 4XL. Great phone, superb customer service. I had one issue and had a chat with a Google rep, who walked me thru the fix. Great camera too, especially the incredible ‘night sight’.

I too have the Pixel XL.. took that one when the Pixel 2 XL came out.. and after my two years.. am now considering timing the Pixel 3 XL when the 4 comes out
