If you aren't at home, near your backups and a reliable Internet connection do not install macOS High Sierra. You don't have to install it now to keep using your Mac or to use iOS 11, so it's better to wait until you are at your home base. 

If you are traveling for work, you don't want to chance some app or accessory not working when you need to finish a project or give a major presentation. The risk, just isn't worth it. 

When you are traveling for vacation the last thing you need to be doing is wasting over an hour to install macOS High Sierra, logging back into your accounts and updating your apps.
