Don't Install if You're Trying the macOS High Sierra Bete

One of the reasons you shouldn't bother installing the macOS Sierra updates right now is if you want to go straight to the macOS High Sierra beta that is out now.

Apple is already letting you install it as a developer, and there is a public macOS High Sierra beta for regular users. If you plan to use either of these, it's OK to simply skip the last macOS Sierra update sitting in your upgrade queue in the App Store.

If you are still on OS X El Capitan, you should be able to go straight to the macOS High Sierra beta, which is handy if you plan to try it on an old device.

Here's what you need to do before you install the macOS High Sierra beta on your Mac.
