4 Reasons to Wait for Pixel Buds 2, & 4 Reasons Not to
Wait for Better Pixel Buds Battery Life
![]() | |||||||||
Every year Google works on improving battery life for Android, Pixel Phones, and the Buds will be no different. And considering the new Pixel Buds 2 are smaller, thus having less room for the battery, they still hit that important 5-hour mark like previous models. Google did a lot of work to make them last plenty long. How long your headphones last is important, and the Pixel Buds do pretty great already. However, with a new design, battery-friendly Wear OS processor, and a new in-ear detection technology to preserve battery life we're expecting these new buds to last far longer than the first generation. Plus, Google improved Bluetooth with Android 10 and put a big battery in the charging case. The current buds get 5 hours of listening time from one charge in the case, and the case has enough battery to give you 24 hours of usage. The new Pixel Buds 2 offer those exact same numbers while being 100% wireless, smaller, easier to carry, and just better overall. That means you can recharge them nearly 5 times before the case runs out of battery.

Yeah, pretty weak. We’re hoping for Pixel Buds 2 along with the Pixel 3 Lite in early 2019.
