Last but not least, don't wait if you can't wait for another month, which sucks. We've already waited for nearly two years, but Google isn't quite ready yet. All the latest rumor said Pixel Buds 2 were coming "soon" but didn't specifically mention when. For whatever reason, Google has videos ready, product demos and more, but delayed the release until nearly mid-2020. Google will release its new Pixel Buds any day now, probably around late April, potentially alongside a new budget-friendly Pixel 4a phone. We just saw the Pixel Buds 2 clear the Bluetooth certification process, then the FCC, so things are progressing, but don't expect then quite yet. Basically, if you need a good pair of wireless headphones to go with your Galaxy S20, Note 10, OnePlus 7T or Pixel 4 XL it makes sense to get the Pixel Buds or a competitor's headphones now. Just keep in mind that the Pixel 4 does not have a headphone jack, so either way, you'll want some type of wireless headphones if you stick to Google's phones and products. Neither does the iPhone 11 Pro. So if you love iPhone but hate AirPods, buy something else. We're big fans of the OnePlus Bullet v2 wireless. At the end of the day, Google surprised everyone by failing to release a new pair of earbuds until now, then surprised us all again by announcing a beautiful set we can't buy for several months. It's frustrating. We don't really know much anymore. What we do know though, is that an excellent set of Google Pixel Buds are finally official, ready to go, and coming sometime in the near future. As soon as we learn more about Pixel Buds 2 release date we'll share the info right here. Additionally, here's a small list of some excellent wireless earbuds that play nice with Android. Ones you'll love to use every single day if you can't wait for Google. | |||||||||

Whelp, this article is less than a month old and it didn’t age well :( what a letdown by Google that was. We want Pixel buds 2!

Yeah, pretty weak. We’re hoping for Pixel Buds 2 along with the Pixel 3 Lite in early 2019.
