Wait for New Pixel Bud Features

Wait for New Pixel Bud Features

Now that Google had over two years to learn what consumers want from, and didn't want from wireless headphones, they can take everything they learned and make a new pair that is better than ever. And from what we're seeing, they did exactly that. The biggest feature however, will be active noise cancellation.

Everything from double-tap to move forward or backward between tracks, in-ear detection technology for improved battery life, and Google even updated the Pixel Buds earlier this year with improvements.

The Pixel Buds 2 to work closely with the Google Assistant so you can ask questions and receive answers all hands-free. Just say, "Hey Google" and ask whatever you want. Google improved the translation feature everyone was excited about, claims they sound way better and have 2x bass, and the case offers 24-hours of listening on top of the already decent 5-hours of battery life built into the buds. We don't know if the case has wireless charging, but I'm guessing it will.

Perhaps the best part though aside from the super long-range Bluetooth connectivity (over 100 yards) is the "spatial vent" in the design. This way the Pixel Buds sound amazing and block sound from the outside world, without giving you that "faded" muted feeling at the same time. They do noise cancellation but also allow just the right amount of the outside world in, all while preventing that "plugged-ears" feeling you get with most small earbuds these days.

Wireless headphones are still a somewhat new product that'll get better with every release. Making the Pixel Buds 2 worth waiting for.

You'll also want to wait if you were eying the new Samsung's Galaxy Buds 2. They still don't have active noise cancellation, which makes Google's earbuds look even better.

Yeah, pretty weak. We’re hoping for Pixel Buds 2 along with the Pixel 3 Lite in early 2019.
