Don't Wait For a Headphone Jack or Wireless Charging

And finally, don't wait for the OnePlus 8T if you want a headphone jack or wireless charging. We still don't think either of those options are coming. 

OnePlus made it very clear that wireless charging is a niche feature, slow, and can't compete with its fast 50w WARP charging. They don't want to offer some of the fastest battery charging in the industry, then have to charge more for their phones just to add slow wireless charging. Not until the technology improves and it gets way faster. 

Then, of course, is the little old 3.5mm headphone jack. It's slowly but surely disappearing on every smartphone. Even Samsung's do-it-all Galaxy Note 10 doesn't have one, and neither will the new Galaxy S11/S20 series. OnePlus is doing the same thing as everyone else and got rid of it. 

In fact, they already did. The OnePlus 7T Pro doesn't have a headphone jack, but they'll gladly sell you some OnePlus Bullet wireless earbuds instead. 

Don't wait for either of those things on the OnePlus 8T. However, we do think the phone will finally be water-resistant, but we'll have to wait and see.
