Learn How to Manually Install Software

If Samsung decides against rolling out an official Galaxy S7 Pie update you aren't stuck on Android Oreo.

The Galaxy S7 community is extremely active and we've seen several Android Pie-based ROMs emerge in recent weeks. Be sure to check out a new ROM dubbed "BlackDiamond" from XDA member Kill-Switch.

Many of you are already familiar with rooting, bootloaders, and ROMs. If you aren't, and you like what you see from Android Pie and the One UI, you might want to start learning about custom software and what it takes to install it on the Galaxy S7.

Perhaps the best to learn about these topics is the Galaxy S7 forum on XDA-Forums. There a ton of knowledgable users over there and many are willing to answer questions.

It might seem intimidating at first, but once you get the hang of it, you won't have to wait for Samsung. You'll also prolong the life of your device.
