Get Familiar with Android Pie and One UI

If you haven't been following along, now is a good time to start getting familiar with Android 9.0 Pie and Samsung's One UI.

Samsung's version of Android Pie comes with some major changes to the look of the operating system. The One UI looks much different than Samsung Experience on Android Oreo.

This is why we recommend getting familiar with the software ahead of time. This way you won't be caught off guard by the changes. There are a few ways to do this.

First, you could try Android Pie on your Galaxy S8. If the beta is available in your region, you can jump to Android Pie right now. If the beta isn't available in your region, you can sideload the software onto your phone.

If you don't want to move off of Android Oreo you can get familiar with Android Pie and the One UI via one of our guides.

For a look at Android Pie's base level features, have a look at our Android Pie vs. Android Oreo walkthrough. It'll take you through the biggest, and smallest, changes.

We've also put together a guide to the One UI that offers a look at the various changes coming to the Galaxy S8's user interface.
