Star Wars Battlefront Double XP Weekend Details

EA and DICE are celebrating the release of Star Wars The Force Awakens with a Star Wars Battlefront Double XP weekend that will help gamers on PS4, Xbox One and PC rank their character up faster.

If you’ve been struggling to rank your Star Wars Battlefront character up, you’ll probably want to hop on this weekend because EA and DICE are going to make it easy to earn a ton of experience points and rank up faster than ever.

The developer and publisher are hosting a Battlefront Double XP weekend to honor the Star Wars Force Awakens release. Battlefront isn’t based on the movie but it does feature a tie-in in the form of Jakku, the planet featured in the free DLC Battle of Jakku.

Double XP Weekend means that you’re going to net twice as much XP which will help you get closer to level 50.

Here, we want to outline all of the important details regarding the Star Wars Battlefront Double XP weekend and offer you some tips and strategies to help get you get the most out of this special event.

Star Wars Battlefront Double XP Weekend Start Date

The Star Wars Battlefront Double XP weekend has already started. EA and DICE kicked the festivities off at 1AM Pacific which means that you can log in right now and start earning double experience points in Walker Assault, Turning Point and more.

The Double XP weekend is available for all versions of Star Wars Battlefront which means those of you on PC, Xbox One and PS4 can all take advantage.

Battlefront Double XP Weekend End Date

As the name “Double XP Weekend” implies, this offer won’t be around forever. There is an end date that you need to be aware of. Fortunately, EA and DICE will be stretching the offer into the wee hours of the morning on Monday.

The Star Wars Battlefront Double XP weekend doesn’t end Sunday evening. Instead, the companies will be offering it until 1AM Pacific on Monday. So if you live on the East Coast and have nowhere to be on Monday, you can stay up until 4AM ranking up your character in Battlefront.

Just remember, the level cap is currently 50 and you won’t be able to progress beyond that. At least not yet. We could see the upcoming Battlefront DLC extend the level cap beyond that. The first paid DLC arrives sometime next year.

How to Rank Up Fast in Star Wars Battlefront

If you want to get the most out of this Double XP weekend, you’ll want to come up with a strategy. You’ll want to check out our full list of tips but here are a few of the basics.

If you want to take full advantage, you’ll want to try and form up with a few others. Working with and as a team will help you capture objectives, take out enemies and win matches. All of those things net you experience points or in this weekend’s case, double experience points.

We recommend playing a lot of Fighter Squadron and Heroes versus Villains. We’ve been able to acquire the most experience points in these two game modes and they’re worth a try if you haven’t given them a go yet.

You’ll also want to complete challenges, use vehicles when you can and stay in matches. Leaving matches early will result in you losing a potential match bonus and you don’t want that if you’re trying to level up to 50.

Star Wars Battlefront Tips to Level Up Faster

Use a Headset & Communicate

Use a Headset & Communicate

You can battle it out on Hoth and Endor alone, or, you can team up with friends or people you meet in game to increase your chances of winning matches and taking out foes. Communication and teamwork is vital to your success in Star Wars Battlefront.

If you link up with a group, you'll be able to capture objectives and take out enemies more effectively. In games like Supremacy, a little teamwork can go a long way towards taking out or defending some of the harder objectives.

Use your headset to communicate but also use it to listen for footsteps and blaster fire. If you listen up, you'll get the drop on enemies before they're able to fire.

Killing enemies and taking objectives is the name of the game here and a headset is going to work wonders for your rank.
