Star Wars Battlefront Tips to Level Up Faster

Leveling up quickly isn’t required in Star Wars Battlefront but if you decide that making a strong push towards rank 70 is worth it (for the items and maybe your sanity), there are some ways to rank up fast. Here, we outline some tips that will help you rank up faster in Star Wars Battlefront on PC, Xbox One or PS4.

Star Wars Battlefront is finally here and thousands of gamers across the world have jumped into massive online multiplayer battles that pit the Rebels versus the Empire, Tie-Fighters versus X-Wings, and Darth Vader versus Luke Skywalker.

DICE’s new game works like its other massive multiplayer games. You choose a character, pick a load out, and hop into huge battles. While you start out with a small collection of gear, you slowly build up your arsenal by winning matches, killing enemy players and completing objectives.

Xbox-One-8

As you rank up (the level cap is currently 70 after the release of the Bespin DLC), you’ll earn credits to put towards new cards and weapons. Level up your character and Star Wars Battlefront is going to be a lot more forgiving. Those lower levels can be tough.

Not everyone will want to push up the ranks but there are some that will get tired of getting killed by better equipped enemies over and over again. If you do decide to make a push, there are some strategies that will help get you closer to rank 70.

We’ve been playing the game since beta and we’ve come up with some helpful tips for those that want to level faster.

Some of these tips are basic, others are a little more involved, but all of them are going to help you move quickly up the ladder and quite possibly, the leaderboard as well.

Use a Headset & Communicate

Use a Headset & Communicate

You can battle it out on Hoth and Endor alone, or, you can team up with friends or people you meet in game to increase your chances of winning matches and taking out foes. Communication and teamwork is vital to your success in Star Wars Battlefront.

If you link up with a group, you'll be able to capture objectives and take out enemies more effectively. In games like Supremacy, a little teamwork can go a long way towards taking out or defending some of the harder objectives.

Use your headset to communicate but also use it to listen for footsteps and blaster fire. If you listen up, you'll get the drop on enemies before they're able to fire.

Killing enemies and taking objectives is the name of the game here and a headset is going to work wonders for your rank.

Actually, as someone who played the beta I would Highly recommend it for only flying vehicles. My reason behind this is the clunky flight mechanism they chose to use, on a keyboard and mouse it is MUCH harder to use, so grab a flight control joystick, I use a logitech extreme 3d pro for its throttle control. It makes it much more enjoyable to switch to it when I jump into a ship.

Plus look at it this way, we as PC players have the benefit of actually picking and choosing the best tool for the job, 90% of the time it’s a keyboard+ mouse but sometimes a controller or joystick wins out

Yea the dumbest advice ever. Use a controller with a fps. lol.
Is this a troll guide? You’re guaranteed to get wrecked playing the main game (on foot) with a controller. You can NEVER come anywhere close to the precision of aiming with a mouse.
Sure for the flying parts a controller works fine. But if your gonna go that route, might as well go all the way and get a proper flight stick to really dominate, as they are purely designed for this. Plus it’s easier to swap from the stick to hte mouse+keyboard for levels where you do both.

Also the reasoning is wrong “Holding down the trigger on the controller is more comfortable than holding down the aim button on the keyboard.”
lol guess the guy never even TRIED playing the flight mode with a keyboard and mouse. Because the default key to lock on is not even a keyboard key. It’s rightclick, which is comfortable to hold down for long periods with a nice gaming mouse.

Oddly I do vastly better in fighter squadron in this game than I have even in other games with a mouse and keyboard, the controls seem well optimized to use a mouse. Just gotta set your sensitivity right and turn down the fov as it messes up the sensitivity for vehicles.

They meant use a controller for the flying part, and I have to say it beats using a mouse, by a mile.

No it doesn’t controller is awful for it. I was having highest kills in squadron after my second match using mouse. Turn down sensitivity and it is far superior.

Personal preference. I prefer mouse n keyboard for fps but for my taste the mouse n keyboard would probably cost more than the console its 2nd controller and the game combined. If this keyboard n mouse combo was the only way to game consoles would come with em in the box 2. Any1 ever tried a fighting game with a keyboard n mouse yeah that is surely a moment worth forgetting!!
Thanks also Adam for the post … those that can do those that can’t sling insults

Sounds like you missed a few shots you thought you hit and he got a headshot. You just ran I to a better player. Happens to me more often than not.

These aren’t very useful tips. A couple are okay, the rest are way too generic. There are better tips for ranking up on this page – http://www.battlefrontguide.com/how-to-level-up-fast-in-star-wars-battlefront/

When it comes to generating pure Star Wars atmosphere this is a dream come true. But even that can’t hide the fact that in the end the content is fun but at this stage very limited.

I Think too much attention is spent on making the two factions equally matched… A shame really, because the ‘same-ness’ of the clones vrs the grab bag of random rebel species is such a big part of the storyline/atmosphere…. I mean Nien Nunb and other Sullistians should be 1-2.5 ft shorter that the Humans with a higher jump that end’s up being about the same clearance as a human – and they should incorporate small places/tunnels/ ducting vents that only they can fit in (maybe Rhodians could fit crouched). Each of the species should have a perk like improved radar sense, rewire infantry turrets and (stunned)droids, perhaps a triple-jump maneuver that is essentially 1/2 a jetpack with no in flight steering, or improved skills for vehicles – I know this is covered by the traits (scout , bodyguard, etc..) but once you let the Imps pick them (wait! I thought they were CLONES) you kind of need something else to set the different species apart from the ‘optimum military force’ to be more immersive or in tune with the ‘SW Universe”
Or – As I’ve been known to scream at my monitor in the middle of the night –
      ! These Rebs are Clones !! …
…. Heck even Boba Fett doesn’t even have a cool helmet with advanced Hud/Targeting. And What’s with the no FPV while a hero- i could care less what I look like to others as I unleash my hero moves…. It’s annoying to have to all of a sudden start adjusting for corners.
