If you have the OnePlus 6 you can enjoy Android 9 right now. For everyone else, you'll have to wait just a little longer until we start seeing betas for other devices. While we're still waiting for a few, like the Digital Wellbeing stuff, Google delivered everything they said they would. Additionally, Android 9 adds a bunch of software controls to work around the notch in the screen. Meaning the experience should be a lot better on this new software. Android 9 Pie makes our phones smarter, faster, safer, uses AI to help us do things, and adds tons of "smart" stuff. That sounds like typical marketing fluff, but it's true. You'll get smarter and easier to read notifications, bundled notifications, a new gesture navigation system (OP has a better one though) and much more.
