“Over the past few months, we have been working closely with Google on the Android P Beta program. Thanks to everyone’s participation and continued feedback, the progress we have made together has been greatly accelerated. The Android P update will be available on the OnePlus 6, OnePlus 5/T and OnePlus 3/3T, in this order. We will keep you all updated in the coming months.”

Surprised? Yes, your old OnePlus 3 and 3T will get Android 9 Pie as soon as possible. Of course, the company focused on the 6 first and now the 5/5T, but they're probably hard at work for the 3 series also. 

Confirmation that the older 3 and 3T will get Android 9 is really important, and something all owners can appreciate. We’ll keep an eye out for any potential release dates or rumors. For now, we're hoping to see the OP5/5T update officially arrive before the end of the month, or within the first 10 days of January.

And while the OnePlus 3 Android Pie update could arrive in December, realistically expect something closer to January-Feb.
