In Nintendo’s dream world, those that buy a Nintendo Switch might be able to get by with only owning it and skipping the Xbox One or PS4. The company is still a long way from making that dream a reality. Gamers need shooters and sports titles, two things that recent Nintendo systems have not managed to deliver a lot of. Splatoon 2 will help a great deal with that. FIFA will too.

Electronic Arts confirmed that it would bring  FIFA to the Nintendo Switch during the console’s complete unveiling in January. FIFA is the official game of international football. It’s long been a best-selling title because of this. Past versions were sold with Microsoft’s Xbox One console; that’s how important it is to gamers. We don’t have a good idea of what features will and won’t be available in the Nintendo Switch version of FIFA. Its launch day is still set as “To Be Determined” on Nintendo’s website.
