Another key feature of the Galaxy Note 8 is the IP68 dust and water resistance. This was expected, but it's still nice to know. This rating means the Galaxy Note 8 (and the S-Pen) can go under around 5ft of water for over 30 minutes and come out working just fine. This is one of the highest ratings for a smartphone and gives owners peace of mind. As a comparison, the iPhone 7 Plus is IP67 rated.
