The Coalition/Microsoft have laid out exactly how the beta code delivery process will work and it's going to be favorable to those that played Gears of War Ultimate Edition last year. 

The developer will be "sending out codes to users who played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition in chronological order from the date they first played." So, if you bought Ultimate Edition when it first came out there's a good chance you'll get your code on April 18th. 

If you played Gears of War Ultimate Edition for the first time on April 11th, you'll probably be close to the back of the line. 

The developer also notes that "code waves will increase in size after the first day and stay consistent for each day after that. Our goal is to have all codes out to users by the end of day Thursday."
