The iPhone SE is Setup Nicely for the Future
Apple hasn't made any big announcements so unless you're in tune with the changes the company's made to its iOS release protocol, you might be unaware of the iPhone SE's bright future.
When Apple released iOS 11 it killed off software support for the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c. The two devices won't get any new features but more importantly, they won't get any new bug fixes or security patches. This is. precisely why you shouldn't make either one your next phone.
The iPhone 5s got iOS 11 and in a bit of a surprise, the device will get upgraded to Apple's upcoming iOS 12 update. This is big news for iPhone 5s users and it means the iPhone SE could potentially get two more years of iOS updates.
iPhone SE will get iOS 12 and it's now a strong candidate for iOS 13.
So, if you already own the iPhone SE, you won't need to ditch it for awhile. And if you're thinking about buying one, know that you'll be able to hold onto it for two more years, at least.
