Most of you will want to upgrade to Android 8.1 right now or soon after the OTA arrives for your device. That said, some of you might benefit from waiting a few hours or a few days. 

If you haven't prepared yourself and/or your device for Android 8.1, you should hold off on an install until you've properly prepared. 

Android 8.1 comes with a ton of changes and it's virtually impossible to predict how it will treat your Nexus 6P. This why you should make sure everything, including your backups, are ready for the transition. Depending on how well you keep up your device, this could take time.
