Apple's brought Widgets to the home screen. 

With the iOS 14 beta on board your iPhone you can bring your Widgets to your Home Screen by dragging them over from the Today View. You can then adjust the size and arrange them however you want. 

Apple's also introduced something called Smart Stack which is a permanent widget on your home screen that you can customize. You can pick which ones it displays or you can have it automatically suggest widgets to show depending on the time of day. 

One example is the Weather widget which shows you severe weather events and a next-hour precipitation chart.

There's also a Widget Gallery where you can manage your third-party widgets and discover others.
