If you do a lot of traveling or you have friends or family who primarily speak another language, you might find Apple's new Translate app useful.
Translate's Conversation mode lets you turn your iPhone to landscape and tap the single microphone button to say something. The phone will then split the conversation in half so you can see both sides of the conversation. You can save translations in the Favorites tab for easy access and you can also view your recent history. It also includes a fully offline experience that lets you use the app's features for downloaded languages and it will keep your translations private without having to turn off your phone’s internet connection.
Translate supports 11 languages: Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, and Spanish. |
