Don't iPhone SE 3 rumors hold you back. 

If you don't care about having the latest specs and software features and simply want a cheap and solid experience paired with a 4-inch iPhone display, you might just want to pickup the iPhone SE right now. 

The iPhone SE is getting older, but it's still a very capable phone. It's also much cheaper than it used to be.

If you're willing to hunt around a little more, you might be able to find it cheaper on resale sites like eBay and Craigslist. 

Most plans allow you to upgrade to a new device after a year, when you trade in your phone. So if you were to buy a new device in the near future, you'd be able to pick up an iPhone SE 3 in early 2023.

The original iPhone SE and the iPhone SE 2 are both worth a serious look, but you might want to check out the iPhone 8, iPhone 7 and iPhone 6s as well.

There's also plenty of competition on the Android side of things. The Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, and Galaxy S10e are excellent devices and you don't have to pay top dollar for them. Same goes for the Pixel 5a, Pixel 4a, Pixel 3a, and Pixel 3a XL from Google. 

There are also a ton of cheap, smaller screen Android phones like the Google Pixel, Sony Xperia X Compact, and Moto E4.
