Do I Need an iPhone Screen Protector?
Many users will enjoy the benefits of an iPhone 7 screen protector, but cheaper iPhone 7 screen repair options could leave some users taking a chance.
Apple offers an iPhone screen repair option for the iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 8 Plus at $29, which is cheaper than many screen protectors. This new AppleCare+ with accidental damage includes screen only repairs for $29 and full repairs for $99.
Even with this new iPhone screen repair option, an iPhone 7 screen protector can prevent that damage from happening in many cases and a lot of these options include free screen protector replacements.
If you don’t have AppleCare+ an iPhone 7 screen protector is a very good investment. A drop onto a hard surface can damage the screen easier than you think. While the screen is resistant to scratches, it’s not un-scratchable. If you throw your iPhone in a purse or a bag often, you should buy an iPhone 7 screen protector.
One of the reasons you need an iPhone screen protector even if you have AppleCare+ is that the screen repair won’t cover a small scratch in most cases. Also, if it breaks, you will need to go to an Apple Store and wait 30 to 90 minutes or send your phone in for repair.

I think that get-z has by far the best all glass product. I wouldn’t purchase from anyone else at this point. The customer service was excellent and they gave me a freebie with my purchase.

The get-z worked best for me! I just upgraded from a iphone 5 to a 7, and gave the 5 to my little sister. I got the get-z protector for both of them and they have worked like a charm!

I’m going ditto the get-z. For $20, you really can’t beat it. I’ve got two toddlers who I let use my phone to watch Netflix while we run errands and it doesn’t even leave a ton of fingerprints, or break from them dropping it.

Don’t buy the Zagg ones. They are too long and create a long overhang at the bottom of the screen. Zagg says both of my 7 Plus’ are the problem. They said that the glass / sapphire options will always have a “halo” effect due to the curved glass. But this is extremely excessive and is catching on my pocket every time i put it in or out depending on the orientation. This is going to cause it to break off before too long.

My get-z protector for my iphone 7 Plus doesn’t have a halo at all. In fact It seems to be just the perfect size to cover my screen and leave enough room for my case. I wouldn’t go with anyone else.
