They have cases, camera lens cases, covers, chargers, headphones and more. Then, Google’s store also offers “Made for Google” products and accessories from other reputable brands. Here’s what to know and where to buy one.
Heading to Verizon stores, Best Buy or Amazon buyers will see countless accessories of all shapes, sizes or price. However, if you want the best accessories available, you’ll want stuff right from Google. Some of them are more expensive, but also ensure the best experience or proper charging levels.
Each year Google changes the accessory lineup just a little bit. This year they have a new Google Home Mini, a neat premium camera lens cover case, live cases, adapters, sleek headphones, and extra chargers.
Most of Google’s cases offer plenty of protection to keep that 6-inch screen safe and free from scratches. First things first, you'll want a case. Keep your phone safe and spend $30-$40 on a case instead of spending nearly $200 to replace a broken screen. Like last year, Google is offering a wide selection of cases. These come from Google themselves, or partner manufacturers like Otterbox. Anything on the Google Store is part of the "Made for Google" program where they certify the accessory for their products. Meaning, you know you're getting a good case or accessory. Our favorite is the Fabric cases from Google. These are durable, well-made, and offer plenty of protection without being too bulky. The fabric cases aren't soft either like you'd expect from fabric. Google found a good middle ground where it's comfortable yet durable. All ports and the fingerprint scanner are easy to access, and they've raised the edges around the screen for added protection.
