Scan QR Codes

Apple finally makes it easy to scan a QR code using the built-in iPhone camera. QR codes are square UPC like codes that contain a lot of information. You can scan a code to go to a website, send an email or download an app. 

The catch is that you need to turn this feature on so that you can scan QR codes without first downloading an app for your iPhone. Go to Settings -> Camera -> Scan QR Codes -> On.

Once that is done, just open the Camera app and point it at a QR code. You will see a message at the top of your screen that shows you what the QR code will do and you can tap it to follow the link or take the action.
