Take Cool Portrait Photos

The iPhone 8 Plus can take amazing looking portrait photos using the rear cameras. This create a blurred background and you can also choose from a variety of stage lighting options to really amp up your photos.

Open up the Camera app and then slide over to Portrait Mode. You'll need to be far enough back from your subject to get separation and you'll need to be close enough that the camera picks the object up. Typically it's within four to eight feet. 

When the screen shows a Natural Light or other lighting box at the bottom of the screen you can take a portrait mode photo. You can choose other lighting options using a slider near the shutter button. You can also tap on edit and then you can edit the lighting options.
