Apple announced the AirPower Charging Mat alongside the iPhone 8 and iPhone X, but it's not coming until this year. The AirPower Charging Mat is a wireless charger that can charge the iPhone X, iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus as well as your Apple Watch and AirPods with a new wireless charging case all at the same time with the same pad. The AirPower Charing Mat uses Qi standards, but it will charge up to three devices at the same time and it can communicate charge status to the iPhone. This device will charge your devices at up to 7.5 W and it may work with other non Apple devices that use Qi wireless charging. The AirPower Charging Mat is coming in 2018 and may retail for $199. | |||||||||||||||
