If you want to diversify the population of settlers in your various settlements around the Commonwealth, take a look at these excellent mods. Child Settlers (PS4), Child Settlers - Kids of the Commonwealth (PS4), Orphans of the Commonwealth (Xbox One) allow you to spawn child settlers at your settlements. They all add child settlers including male children and female children. You'll also start to notice some ghoul children as well. The Xbox One version is far more robust than the PS4 versions though that's to be expected given the limitations of PS4 mods. You can assign these children to do tasks (they are best used for farming) and they will mostly act and behave like normal settlers.
