Get Familiar with Android Pie and One UI
Like the three other Galaxy S10 models, the Galaxy S10 5G is powered by Android 9.0 Pie and Samsung's One UI. We recommend getting familiar with the software ahead of time. Samsung's version of Android Pie comes with a lot of changes to the look and feel of its unique user interface (UI). If you're coming from a Galaxy phone running Android Oreo and Samsung's old Experience UI, there will be an adjustment period. If you're coming from a phone from a manufacturer like HTC or LG, there will be a much longer one. If you're unfamiliar, check out our guide to Samsung’s version of Android Pie. It’ll walk you through the biggest, and smallest, changes on board. We’ve also released a guide that compares Android Pie to Android Oreo and it’s worth a look if you’re interested in the base level changes.
