You'll Be Able to Manually Install Oreo Soon

The first Samsung Galaxy S7 Oreo update should arrive soon which means you'll be able to install the official software in the near future.

Once the firmware starts rolling out globally, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge users will be able to skip the OTA and install the Oreo update on their own.

We typically see the official firmware emerge as a download soon after the first batch of updates start rolling out so you'll want to keep an eye out for the files.

If you don't know how to manually install software, you should brush up on the process. That way, you're ready to skip the Over-the-Air release. Samsung's OTAs typically take weeks to finish up.
