Any and all Galaxy S8 smartphones released this year will almost certainly be water resistant and have expandable storage. This is fast becoming a feature every phone should have. 

The Galaxy S7 was IP68 dust and water resistance up to 5ft for over 30 minutes. It also had a micro-sd slot for owners to expand storage and swap it out on the go. We're almost 100% sure both features will be employed this year. 

After the iPhone 7 came out and is water resistant (IP67), all phones are being judged on having this feature or not. Samsung beat them to it though, and have a higher rating at IP68. We expect this to continue in 2017 with the Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 8 and beyond. Additionally, storage has been doubled to 64GB, which will be the base amount. No more running out after only having 32GB built-in. We could even see a 128GB model in select regions.
