World-Class Galaxy S8 Camera

Samsung really kicked it up a notch with the Galaxy S7 camera in 2016. Arguably the best of the year, better than Apple, and outmatched the competition.

It was only a 12 megapixel camera, vs 16 megapixel in older models, but that didn't make a difference. A blazing fast auto-focus, instant shutter speeds, great low light and night photography performance and image stabilization made it hard to beat. The lower camera number gave us a bigger sensor size that captured more light per photo. Giving us better results every time.

Samsung called this a 12 Dual Pixel sensor. Instead of megapixels. In 2017, we're hearing Samsung will once again deliver a world class camera experience for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Coming in at the same 12 Dual Pixel rating, improved and faster focus, along with even better low light performance. Some reports believe the Galaxy S8 will offer 1,000 FPS slow-motion recording, a first for a smartphone.  It's hard to imagine things improving, but look for Samsung to do exactly that. Every year the camera gets better, and the Galaxy S8 should be the best of the best.
